BOND IN MOTION; LIME WOOD IN SLOW MOTION
BOND IN MOTION is the largest official collection of original Bond vehicles the world has ever seen and can be found at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum. With fifty shades of vehicles on display only during 2012, now is your chance to enjoy some serious car porn. For all those men out there desperate to visit (but not sure how to entice the woman in their life) panic not; Lime Wood hotel and its glorious Herb House spa is a mere 10 minute drive from Bond’s Cars so she’s bound to agree to the road-trip.
2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film series and this is being celebrated in style at Beaulieu. Alongside classics such as Aston Martin DB5 and the Lotus Esprit S1, there is a host of treasures dating back to From Russia With Love including the elegant Fairey Huntress Speedboat, Goldfinger’s 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III, the buzzing autogyro from You Only Live Twice and Octopussy’s screeching Acrostar Jet. Cars used in films starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig all feature in the exhibition. There are also a few record-breakers on display including the Aston Martin DBS Stunt Car used in Casino Royale.
To keep her indoors satisfied book into Lime Wood for a night or two where slow motion is the speed recommended for all guests.
