Inspired by traditional German Christmas markets the Winchester Christmas Market attracts more than 350,000 visitors each year.
The pretty wooden chalets are situated in the Cathedral’s historic Inner Close surrounding an open-air real ice rink. All our exhibitors have been hand-picked for their interesting, high quality and unique products many of which can’t be bought on the high street.
Open every day, 10am-6pm from Sun-Wed and 10am-7.30pm from Thu-Sat.
There’s plenty of choice when it comes to food and drink at the Christmas Market. You’ll find chalets selling festive favourites such as, mulled wine, bratwurst, mince pies and stollen.
If you’re looking for that special something make sure you visit the jewellers, painters, glass makers and textile artists selling unique gifts and decorations.
This year we've decided to have our very own little Christmas market in The Scullery. On Wednesday 11th December we'll be turning The Scullery into a winter haven from 12pm - 8pm so you'll be able to pop in and buy all of those last minute essentials....from Christmas wreaths and table decorations to cashmere socks, luxury ski gloves, beautiful jewellery, men's stocking fillers and plenty of local food and drinks produce too. We'll also have some carols from Walhampton School choir.
No need to book or anything, just pop in! We hope to see as many of you there, especially as we'll be supporting our chosen charity on the day.
