Unconventional is good; but what do you do with it?
Annoushka Ducas MBE is a jewellery designer, creative director and entrepreneur who founded British jewellery companies Links of London and Annoushka.
Having trained at The Sorbonne her rise to prominence has been unconventional and in the late ‘80s a pair of fish cufflinks that she made for her Mother’s fish business, grew into a ground-breaking idea and global luxury brand – Links of London which was founded in 1990 by Annoushka and her husband John Ayton. They sold Links in 2006.
Annoushka went back into business three years later founding 'Annoushka ' and designing fine jewellery often around rare and precious stones in 18 carat gold from her studio. Annoushka jewellery is refined yet individual, many of the pieces being 'one of a kind' or editions limited to 24 numbered pieces. In a short space of time Annoushka has built up a strong celebrity following ranging from the Duchess of Cambridge - who rarely takes off her Annoushka pearl earrings- to Rhianna Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and alike.
Annoushka boutiques in London are located in Cadogan Gardens where she is based, and on South Molton Street in Mayfair. She is also in Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges. In September 2014 Annoushka launched at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York and in its Beverly Hills store.
Annoushka will be joining us for at Lime Wood for a spot of lunch on Tuesday 18th November to share her thoughts on her journey as an entrepreneur, and how her career has evolved from one ground breaking idea to eventually founding two global luxury brands.
