Nieves Barragán Mohacho takes over HH&Co...

Our final HH&Co Pop Up of 2019 is set to be a scorcher as renowned Spanish chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho takes us on a journey from the tapas bars of Andalucía through to the asadors of Castile and the seafood restaurants of Galicia!

Nieves grew up in Bilbao in Spain’s Basque region, learning from an early age about the regions produce and cuisine. Having arrived in London in 1998 Nieves began work at Simply Nico, and then moved onto to become Sous Chef at Fino in 2003. Nieves went on to become the group’s executive chef for both Fino and Barrafina for ten years, and oversaw the launch of two further Barrafina restaurants eventually being awarded a Michelin Star for Barrafina Frith Street in 2014.

Earlier this year Nieves opened one of the most hotly anticipated launches of 2018, Sabor on Heddon Street in London, in partnership with Jose Etura. Nieves menu at Sabor cannot help but transport you to a balmy Spanish evening, with crisp bright dishes that celebrate authentic Spanish ingredients and cooking techniques.

To top it off Sabor was awarded its first Michelin star just eight months after opening, and Nieves named ‘Chef of the Year’ at the London Restaurant Awards 2018.
