On Wednesday 19th July 2017 we are very excited to be joined by Chef Sophie Michell. Sophie has brought some serious girl power to the restaurant industry, with over 22 years’ experience she can now list chef, restauranteur, TV presenter and author on her CV.

Hailing from a lineage of avid foodies and professional cooks, she grew up learning, and showed incredible potential early on. By the tender age of 15, Sophie was running services in a Somerset gastropub and had decided she wanted to make her career in the food industry.

Over the next four years, she trained at the respected Butler’s Wharf Chef School whilst doing work experience at London’s infamous La Gavroche, the Michelin-starred Greenhouse, the Lanesborough and the Embassy, and by the age of 19 had been nominated ‘Young Chef of the Year’ by the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs.

Sophie has since released 5 books, been part of the team on Channel 4’s Cook Yourself Thin and was named the UKs youngest Executive female Chef when she took over the menu at Belgraves in 2013.

Sophie’s menu will be inspired by the seasonal, farm to table cooking styles of California. Naturally light, colourful and full of flavour – the perfect way to get some inspiration for you own home cooking this summer! Angela, Sophie and the class will be rustling up….. (*menu subject to seasonal changes)

If cooking is your thing, then why not experience what it really is to be in our Guest Chefs’ kitchens, with a day with them at HH&Co Backstage, the cookery school.

Sophie will lead a cookery workshop; a combination of demonstration and practical cooking held in our state-of-the-art cookery school kitchen, including lunch.
