Family time at Lime Wood is about slowing down, being together and creating memories. This February half term, step through our forest gate and follow winding trails that spark curiosity, breathe in the fresh air, or hop on a bike to explore the forest paths and discover little adventures along the way. We’ve thought of everything to make travel easier, so you can focus on the joy of being together and exploring the forest.
Spacious suites and Forest Cottages offer room to spread out, open fires crackle, and hot chocolate appears as if by magic. In the restaurants, our chefs are on hand with menus that are as delicious as they are thoughtfully prepared, while the Herb House Spa offers quiet moments for parents to steal away, even if only for an hour.

While Herb House Spa is mainly a grown-ups’ retreat, we love welcoming younger guests too! Children under 18 can splash about in the indoor Lap Pool during the designated swim time, and those aged 16 and over are welcome to try our Gym - 16 & 17 year olds just need to be accompanied by an adult.
From guided woodland walks and family foraging* to den building and cosy film nights, days at Lime Wood are filled with simple pleasures shared together. Much of that time is spent outdoors, where children can spot the forest's free-roaming ponies, splash in puddles or toss sticks into streams whilst parents rediscover the simple joys of childhood.

Little ones can explore the grounds on our ride on cars and trikes, while older children and grown-ups can borrow our bikes to explore further afield.
Beyond the lawns, the forest paths beckon, inviting the whole family to discover the 94 acres of ancient woodland that's on our doortsep.
This year, we’re delighted to introduce our partnership with British-founded fairechild, bringing a touch of beautifully considered children’s style to the heart of the New Forest. Made for children with a penchant for puddle-jumping, the rain pants and coats are designed for real adventures. From February half term, residents will find waterproofs ready to borrow in our Main House Boot Room, Cottages and Cabin, perfect for little ones to throw on and explore.
