Justin - Head of Fitness

About Me

I have a BSc (Hons) first class degree in Strength & Conditioning Science from St. Mary’s University. I'm passionate about movement biomechanics and functional fitness. Originally from South Africa, I come from a sporting family and having competed to county level in both cricket and tennis I’ve always been into training and continually striving to be the best version of myself as possible.

My Approach

Health, fitness and well-being should be a lifestyle – not a finite endpoint. At the heart of my ethos is that training should be fun and enjoyable, that way it becomes a continual part of your lifestyle and you avoid extreme fluctuations in your approach to staying fit.

Specialisms & Qualifications

I specialise in rehab/prehab, movement biomechanics and functional fitness. I'm an FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) Master practitioner as well as an accredited UKSCA (UK Strength & Conditioning) member.

What Got Me Into Fitness

I have always been a self-confessed sport nut: tennis, golf, cricket, running, skiing, you name it I’ve probably tried it or willing to give it a go. This obsession for sport ultimately lead me into the fitness world and staying healthy.

Outside the Gym

I spend most of my time with my family and my two children - helping coach my son's Football and Cricket teams and helping my daughter with her gymnastics.

Kim - Senior Personal Trainer

About Me

With over 35 years in the fitness industry, I bring a wealth of experience across disciplines — from strength training and Pilates to yoga and boxing. Originally from Austria, I studied classical dance and fitness before settling in the UK, where I’ve since qualified in sports therapy and massage.

My Approach

For me, fitness is about balance… nourishing your body with movement, rest, and good nutrition. I believe that physical health supports mental wellbeing, and I aim to help each client find that harmony in a way that’s sustainable and rewarding.

Specialisms & Qualifications

I specialise in strength training, Pilates, and mobility work. I also love teaching boxing and yoga, and I hold qualifications in sports therapy and massage which helps me approach fitness with a restorative lens, too.

What Got Me Into Fitness

My parents have always been my biggest inspiration — even in their 80s, they’re still in the gym regularly! Their love for movement inspired me to pursue fitness professionally. After years of studying and performing classical dance, it was a natural progression.

Outside the Gym

I spend most of my time with my son. We love exploring the outdoors together, especially the New Forest and the local beach. At home, you’ll usually find us gaming or reading.

Dan - Senior Personal Trainer

About Me

I have had a life-long interest in martial arts and fitness.

My Approach

I believe that form follows function - move right, move strong!

Specialisms & Qualifications

I currently hold two black belts and I am also a Kettlebell instructor, Indian Club Trainer, and a Suspension Trainer.

What Got Me Into Fitness

I was taught and graded under Grand Master Angelo Baldissone and by several masters in the Philippines.

Outside the Gym

I love having adventures with my two sons.

Alex - Senior Personal Trainer

About Me

I enlisted into the Royal Artillery and passed the All-Arms Commando Course (one of the world’s toughest military courses!) in 1995, serving with 29 Commando Regiment RA. During my service, I completed the PTI Class 3 course (Physical Training Instructor) and prepared recruits for both Para and Commando selection. In my final years of service with 32 Regt RA, I looked after the rehab needs of my unit.

My Approach

I believe that a fully holistic approach to fitness, nutrition and wellbeing is needed. It’s important to embrace our ancestors and environment to reap the benefit and the wonders of the world around us.

Specialisms & Qualifications

I specialise in Functional Patterns, Human Mechanics and Movement, including Barefoot. I also practice sports therapy/rehab and massage.

What Got Me Into Fitness

My military background.

Outside the Gym

When I’m not working, I’m either out on the water on my SUP board, skiing at Snowtrax, coaching friends and family or just enjoying myself. My family and I love being out in the forest or the beach enjoying the wilds and wonders around us. I also enjoy travelling, from Finish Lapland in the depths of winter and warmer places such as Morocco and Greece.

Charlotte - Senior Personal Trainer

About Me

I love trialling and testing new ways of looking after myself in order to be able to pass this onto others. I love being with people and forever learning new skills and knowledge.

My Approach

My philosophy on fitness is about bringing every element of overall health together to complete the jigsaw puzzle, focusing on movement, functional strength, wellbeing, and nutrition to help you feel your best.

Specialisms & Qualifications

With over 10 years of experience working in a medical spa, I specialise in gut health, prevention, nutrition, and addressing multiple aspects of the body - inside and out - to help reset and re-energise. I also focus extensively on neuro-sensory stimulation and barefoot movement.

What Got Me Into Fitness

I have always had an interest in sports and activities. My passion developed more over time with personal life experiences.

Outside the Gym

In my spare time, I love being outdoors, enjoying early morning walks along the seafront and exercising in the fresh air. I play the saxophone and have a passion for music and dancing. Movement and music make me happy! I also enjoy cooking, having grown up in a family restaurant.

What Got Me Into Fitness
Gymnastics sparked my love of movement, which grew into a global fitness career. Competing internationally taught me discipline and the power of transformation.

Outside the Gym
I’m also a trained vocalist with a music degree and have performed professionally in London. This creative side enriches my coaching, especially for clients preparing for public appearances.

Curtis - Fitness Trainer

About Me

I’m a personal trainer with over five years of experience and a degree from Southampton Solent University. My passion for fitness stems from playing sport at a high level and running a chair-based exercise business for seniors and people with disabilities. I’ve always had an interest in fitness and continue to further my knowledge by training with different demographics.

My Approach
My approach to exercise focuses on functional training that supports everyday movement and long-term health - because fitness should be about longevity and mental clarity, not just lifting heavy.

Specialisms & Qualifications

From studying at university to gaining qualifications through ACAS, I ensure my knowledge remains current and supports all aspects of training. I would say my strongest assets are in strength training and functional movement. However, I have worked with a wide range of clients to reduce body weight, increase mobility, build strength and hypertrophy, and prepare for marathons and other sporting events. Alongside this, as previously mentioned, I also train seniors and those with disabilities.

What Got Me Into Fitness
My family has played a huge part in my sporting and fitness career, as my parents both represented Great Britain in tennis and korfball. This also gave me the opportunity to play football at a very high level, representing teams such as Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and others. I’ve always had a love for tennis as well, and have represented my county.

Outside the Gym
In my spare time, I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and develop my business to ensure it’s the best it can be. When switching off from sport and work, I enjoy spending time with those I love most and travelling as much as possible.

Whether you’re new to training or more experienced, I aim to help you move well, feel strong and enjoy the process.

Specialisms & Qualifications

I work with clients of all abilities, supporting them in achieving their goals through structured, progressive and well-rounded training.

What Got Me Into Fitness
My journey into fitness began through my passion for gymnastics and coaching. Over the years, working closely with individuals to develop their strength, coordination and confidence inspired me to take this further into personal training.
