Aperitivo hour with Angela, Luke, the HH&Co team & Tenuta Fertuna

Wine tasting and nibbles Thursday 18th March 7pm-8.15pm

How we all long for an alfresco evening in the sunshine with a glass of something chilled in hand and a view to die for on the horizon…

So, whilst we all patiently wait for spring to arrive and our passports remain firmly in the draw the team at Hartnett Holder & Co are going to bring the sunshine to you at home with an evening escape to Tuscany for Aperitivo hour!

Join our chefs Angela and Luke, Sommeliers Chris and Dan, plus Restaurant Manager James for a virtual tasting of our very own
Hartnett Holder & Co wine produced in collaboration with Tenuta Fertuna Winery.

A taste of Italy...

Angela’s Italian heritage and Luke’s time spent cooking in Italy have always influenced our menus at HH&Co, so it would only be right for us to venture onto Italian soil to bring our own red, white and rosé wine to life, to a small secluded region in the south of Tuscany, the Maremma, just 1.5 hours from Rome, it is an area with great wine-making potential that is fast becoming known for its high-quality wines.

Separated by thick forests of chestnuts and sprawling green fields of olive groves and vineyards that stretch to the sea, the Maremma’s towns are like their own little world, immersed in a unique and rich history and culture, where everyone knows everyone and peace, quiet and good homemade food and wine are king.

Discover Tenuta Fertuna Winery...

Fertuna Vineyard is located in the heart of the magnificent Maremma.  Paolo Rivella is the manager and winemaker, he comes from a winemaking heritage stretching back to 1850 and with his great-grandfather, who was also a winegrower.

Angela and Luke visited the vineyard to blend these special wines with Paolo, and their relaxed style and zest for life can be enjoyed in every glass.

About 5.5 hectares of the vineyard is also dedicated to another great Tuscan symbol, the olive tree; crafted from Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino olives, Angela and Luke were so impressed with the olive oil produced on the estate, without chemical manipulation or filtration, that they bottled some of that to bring home too!

Aperitivo Hour

An Aperitivo marks the end of the day and encompasses a glorious couple of hours all over Italy – generally between 7pm and 9 pm – when Italians meet to relax over a glass of wine or a light cocktail and nibbles!

So, join Angela, Luke, the HH&Co team and Paulo, the winemaker from Fertuna Vineyard for an evening of wine and food!

Olive Oil E.V.O. Certified TOSCANO IGP

During lunch on a visit to the Fertuna estate Angela was so impressed with the Olive Oil that they produced in small quantities from century-old Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo olive trees planted around the property that she wanted to bottle it and bring it home!

This chance tasting has led to this special bottling of premium quality IGP Toscano extra virgin Olive Oil.

Olive Oil E.V.O. 100% ITALIAN provenance

A special bottling of Italian Extra Virgin olive oil, created especially for HH&Co – we use it in the restaurant!

Crafted predominantly from Frantoio Moraiolo and Leccino olives, and made without chemical manipulation or filtration. This high-quality olive oil is green to golden yellow in colour with a predominantly fruity fragrance with almond, artichoke, ripe fruit and green leaves scent.
