The Forest Kitchen

Sundays at Lime Wood just got seriously fun. Dappled sunlight through the trees, acoustic music floating across our grounds, a glass of something chilled in your hand and some of the most exciting chefs in the country manning the flames.

Luke and Angela have invited a hand-picked line-up of their most exciting friends from the culinary world to take over the Asado grill at our HH&Co Forest Kitchen. On one special date, they’ll be joined by two of the UK’s most-loved wine experts, pairing brilliant bottles with each dish to elevate the experience even further.

Whether you’re a devoted foodie, a wine enthusiast, or just here to soak up the atmosphere, you can expect an afternoon of playful, fired cooked dishes, perfectly matched wines, and a relaxed setting that only Lime Wood can provide.

Earth, Fire & Feast

with Lee Tiernan, Angela Hartnett, Luke Holder & the HH&Co Team

Sunday 24th May, 2.30pm

To kick off the Forest Kitchen pop-up series, we’re delighted to welcome our very own Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder alongside guest chef Lee Tiernan.

Lee is a character in a class of his own: unapologetically authentic, a tireless innovator, a charismatic host, a trendsetter, and (perhaps most importantly) passionate about Kerrygold butter.

Lee is a cult hero among chefs and restaurant industry folks, and his restaurant usually feels like a spontaneous party. He worked with St. JOHN for a decade, progressing to lead Bread & Wine as head chef, before launching BAM as a pop-up in Copenhagen in 2014. He opened the doors of his much-hyped permanent restaurant in north London soon after. A cookbook in the restaurant’s name was published in 2019 and was the fastest selling cookbook that year, he also works alongside YETI and Gozney, remaining their brand ambassador.

Guests can expect a menu bursting with flavour from the open fire, where Angela and Luke’s Italian influence meets Lee’s bold, ingredient-driven cooking.

Fish, Fire & Feast

with Gabriel Pryce of Rita's in Soho, Luke Holder & the HH&Co Team

Sunday 26th July, 2.30pm

In July Forest Kitchen fires up for Fish, Fire & Feast - the Asado grill becomes the stage and joining forces are Gabriel Pryce, co-founder of Rita's in Soho and our very own Luke Holder and the HH&Co team. Expect something truly special to emerge from the flames, settle in with a signature Rita's cocktail and then let the feast begin!

Gabriel is known for his thoughtful, seasonal cooking, inspired by nostalgia, personal experience, and a playful curiosity, with a deft hand for global flavours. Shaped by time spent living in the US and working in London kitchens including The Marksman and Brawn, he and his co-founder Missy Flynn grew Rita’s from a Hackney pop-up into one of London’s most loved neighbourhood restaurants. The menu at Rita’s is guided by the seasons, drawing on organic local farms and produce from across Europe, with a focus on sustainably sourced fish and meat.

Expect a lively afternoon beneath the trees, with generous dishes, brilliant drinks and great company.

Meat, Fire & Feast

with James Ferguson, Alethea Palmer, Angela Hartnett, Luke Holder & the HH&Co Team

Sunday 30th August, 2.30pm

In August, Angela and Luke will be welcoming James Ferguson and Alethea Palmer from The Kinneuchar Inn, a produce-led gastro pub celebrated as one of Scotland’s finest since opening in 2019 - which Angela has named as one of her favourite restaurants.

With over 20 years in the industry, both James and Alethea previously worked at the East London institution Rochelle Canteen, as Head Chef and Front of House, respectively - with James also cooking under Gordon Ramsay and our very own Angela!

James’ style is deeply seasonal and produce-led, with a focus on familial, nostalgic flavours. He treats every ingredient with respect and simplicity, drawing on influences from his Greek heritage, Italian training, and traditional English and Scottish cooking. His approach is thoughtful and organic: using the whole animal, often working nose to tail.

Guests can expect dishes that celebrate the best of the season, cooked over an open fire, and served with the warmth and generosity that both James and Alethea are known for.
