With over 140,000 acres of ancient woodland on our doorstep, we're the perfect base for family adventures – made for scavenger hunts, stargazing, story time and slow mornings.

Family-Friendly Rooms & Suites

Our charming Forest Cottages and Forest Cabin are perfect for families, offering self-contained space, cosy living areas, and forest or meadow views.

Families can also choose from a variety of rooms and suites designed to balance comfort, privacy, and character. Crescent Lodge offers a homely feel with a private forest terrace and plenty of room to spread out, while our Forest Hideaway Suites are great for smaller families who like a mix of comfort and quiet.

From high chairs and stairgates to cots, baby baths, children’s bathrobes and slippers, our team can provide a range of items on request to help your stay run smoothly. There are family swim slots in the Herb House Pool, perfect for enjoying time together. And if you’d like a grown-up evening, babysitting can be arranged with a little notice.

Bring the Whole Pack

Our Forest Cottages and Cabin are dog-friendly, and the New Forest is a paradise for four-legged explorers. We’ll have their bed fluffed and bowls ready before you even unpack.

While they can’t join you in the main house or spa (no sneaky spa days, I’m afraid), they’ll enjoy full access to the woods right through our forest gate - mud, sticks, and all.

Back at Lime Wood, our boot room is stocked with wellies for splashing through puddles or wandering muddy paths, and a treasure trove of board games make cosy afternoons indoors just as fun.

There’s no shortage of family-friendly attractions nearby, too. Spend the day at Peppa Pig World at Paulton’s Park, explore the history and thrills of Beaulieu Motor Museum, or wander the beautiful blooms of Exbury Gardens, all within easy reach of the hotel.
