Being an apprentice at Lime Wood Hotel or Herb House Spa puts you on a Lime Wood Path with our partner, Umbrella Training, a leading UK training and apprenticeship provider working closely with the hospitality sector. It’s a fun and engaging way to gain qualifications while learning on the job.

The Qualification Bit
We partner with Umbrella Training to deliver our apprenticeship programmes. You’ll be part of a supportive group of like-minded colleagues, all keen to learn and develop their careers in hospitality within an award-winning, five red star hotel and spa.
Each apprenticeship lasts around a year and is supported by a dedicated Learning Leader. Alongside monthly training days, designed to develop your hospitality, supervisory, management and leadership skills, you'll receive regular one-to-one mentoring sessions, observations and support throughout your qualification.
You’ll complete assignments and build your portfolio using BUD, an online learning platform, with plenty of support from the team along the way.
From Level 2 through to Level 6, there’s a pathway for everyone.
The Fun Bit!
It’s not all hard graft! You’ll also get to experience all the things that make Lime Wood unique, helping to bring everything from our Forest Kitchen and Book Club events to exclusive parties and weddings to life.
You can spend time with our beekeeper, get your hands dirty in the greenhouse, and head out to meet local suppliers who are just as passionate about what they do as we are.
Getting Out and About
We love the New Forest, but we like to get out and about too. We regularly visit suppliers and partners, and our apprentices have the opportunity to attend industry events, awards ceremonies and trade shows, from the Independent Hotel Show and Hotel & Housekeeping Show to London Wine Fair and London Cocktail Week.
Back at Lime Wood, no two days are quite the same. From bedrooms bursting with personality to HH&Co serving up more fun dining than fine dining, every day brings a new experience.
