We caught up with Love Brand & Co Founder, Oliver Tomalin, to get the lowdown on the essential looks whether you are travelling near or far. What are your five essentials to pack on holiday? 

On my own, I like to travel really light. And wherever I'm going I bring a notebook and a pen. Travelling inspires me and I always come back with pages of design sketches and prints. Rose and I have 3 young children, so when we are on holiday as a family, it is the opposite, we seem to pack our house every time we go anywhere.

What do you love about travelling in the UK?

It's a wonderful luxury to travel and see the world but part of the problem with travelling long distances for a restful holiday is the journey back undoes everything and I often get back more exhausted than when I left, there is a lot to be said for taking a holiday near home. 

Which of your designs are you never without on a staycation?

My go-to gear includes our trusty Staniel swimming trunks — they're like old friends. And then there's our Nassau linen jacket, which is perfect for an understated evening look.

Any favourite places to stay in the UK?

This summer, my wife surprised me with a long weekend in a remote log cabin, which was pure heaven. A digital detox with long country walks, pub lunches and a good book.

Do your travels inspire your famous prints?

Our brand is all about embracing nature, going on adventures, and celebrating our beautiful world. What really stands out at Love Brand & Co are our prints. They're not just patterns, they are all stories. We use print to shine a light on the natural world and conservation initiatives. 

What’s next for Love Brand & Co? 

We are gearing up for some exciting plans ahead in the USA and Middle East. While we're focused online, we're not forgetting the magic of in-person shopping and expanding our concept stores.
