GLOW: Sheila's Super Smoothies
Sheila, Raw & Cured's Creative Chef shares 2 of her favourite super smoothie recipes with The Lowdown!08 February 2021
When you have overdone it on delicious HH&Co pasta then Raw & Cured can help with a little light relief. Sheila Hulme, the Creative Chef and her team create feel-good food that is packed full of all of the goodies that will have you leaping into the Lap Pool and running rings around the Forest.
If you are in need of a bit of inspiration whilst at home, Sheila has shared with us some of her Super Smoothies recipes, filled with nutrient-rich fruit and vegetables that will give you an energy boost that will keep you going until lunch!
Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie
This green goddess of a smoothie supports digestion, is good source of potassium, restores energy and a natural isotonic.
What You Need…
200ml Coconut Water
3 Medjool Dates (stoned)
1/2 Ripe Banana
2 Sprigs of Coriander (stalks included)
A Handful of Spinach
What You Do…
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve over ice!
A smoothie full of antioxidants, blueberries are considered a superfood being high in potassium and Vitamin C. Maca powder is said to boost energy and endurance and also is known to improve your mood, the perfect smoothie before a workout, going on a run or trying to keep the kids entertained all day!
What you need...
A handful of Blueberries
200ml Coconut Water - or enough to give it the thickness you like!
What You Do…
Put all the ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth. Add some ice to serve!
