Summer Set Lunch

At HH&Co, summer produce takes centre stage. Menus by Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder are inspired by the sun-drenched simplicity of Italian cooking - fresh pasta with vine-ripened tomatoes, zingy garden salads, and desserts made with local New Forest strawberries, ripe and sweet as summer itself. It’s laid-back, flavour-packed, and led by nature.⁠

Choose to dine al fresco on our sun-dappled terrace, where views stretch across the lawns to the forest edge and the warm breeze carries the scent of summer. It’s an experience that blurs the line between home and holiday; close to home, yet with the soul-soothing feeling of dining abroad.

Meet the Chefs

Luke Holder

He's worked in some of London's busiest and most exclusive restaurants including Orrery, The Sloane Club, and the Oxo Tower on the South Bank. Luke then spent a year cooking in the Italian kitchen of Enoteca Pinchiorri, 3 Michelin stars, in the heart of Tuscany, Florence - this experience ultimately changed his philosophy on food forever and firmly placed his focus on cooking locally and seasonally, at the highest level.

Angela Hartnett

Angela is one of the UK’s most loved chefs and restaurateurs. Angela worked under Gordon Ramsay at Aubergine, and then under Marcus Wareing where she soon became Head Chef at Pétrus. In 2004 she gained her first Michelin star. In 2008 she launched Murano in Mayfair, and in 2012 joined forces with Luke to open HH&Co. The following year she opened her first Cafe Murano, a brassier little sister to Murano, and then went on to open another two by 2019. In 2015 Angela joined the team at our sister hotel on the slopes, Portetta in Courchevel, where she oversees the kitchen of Cucina Angelina, the hotel’s restaurant!

Lunch: 12PM - 2PM Monday to Saturday and 12PM - 2.30PM Sunday

Dinner: 6PM - 9PM Monday to Sunday

The Smoke House

As you approach Lime Wood you may notice a small brick house tucked under the brow of a hill. This is our Smoke House.

The Smoke House is a big part of what we do here at Lime Wood and HH&Co, we've been experimenting with recipes over the years and throughout the seasons, our Smoke House produce will always feature on the menu at HH&Co. 

Our head chef Luke Holder and his team of Chefs are all regular visitors to the Smoke House. Working alongside ChalkStream Trout, where the fish are reared in the pristine crystal-clear waters of the world-famous chalk streams here in Hampshire, we have developed an exclusive growing program for the trout, that we believe has led to an even better taste and texture.

Unlike most farmed trout, the trout at Lime Wood, developed by ChalkStream, is a long, slow grow, taking around 2.5-3 years for the trout to reach 5kg in weight and size. This longer growing period allows the true flavour of the trout to shine through. With the exceptional water quality and the locality, we believe we have a world class product for you to enjoy.
