Padstow, Cornwall, has become known as a bit of a foodie mecca due to the residencies of a number of award-winning chefs and the Padstow Christmas Food Festival! With two town centre restaurants and now the Padstow Town House under his belt, Paul Ainsworth is certainly ‘known’ in his home-town!

Paul’s playful, brilliantly creative dishes showcased the best produce that Cornwall has to offer, crafted with the accomplished technical skill he learnt while training with Gary Rhodes, Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing and as a chef de partie with our very own Angela Hartnett. Now one of the most renowned British chefs, he combines influences from his childhood with flavours from around the world to create his own, very regional, Cornish style!

Paul created a menu packed full of fresh, seasonal and modern flavours, inspired by his life by the sea.

Cornish mackerel, kimchi style cabbage, gentlemans relish
Tamar Valley lamb, sweetbread, salt-baked celeriac, mutton ham
A trifle 'Cornish' circa. 1596, blood orange, rhubarb, saffron
