Full Works Welcome Pack

To help you settle in, we thought it might be helpful to give you a little welcome pack, which includes all the key things you need to know about your Full Works membership at the Herb House. This pack serves as a guide but may be subject to change.

Membership Cards and Discounts

Your Full Works membership provides you with a package of Herb House & Lime Wood Complimentary perks worth over £4000/year per member:

  • 4 x Monthly 1-2-1 personal training/movement sessions on a use it or lose it basis* (see Personal Training section below for more information)
  • Advance booking facility to Herb House fitness classes 8 days in advance, 1 day in advance of All Access members
  • One spa treatment per quarter, up to 60 minutes, must be used within the quarter on a use it or lose it basis* (excludes Sarah Chapman treatments and Four Hands Massage). If you would like to put your voucher towards one of the excluded treatments, you are welcome to pay the additional cost over and above the standard treatment price.

Health Consultation Forms

At your Spa induction, you will be asked to complete a treatment consultation form, which will be kept on file for any future treatments. This will also enable us to recommend the treatments and products that are most suitable for you and help us to tailor our treatments to meet your needs.

All members will be asked to complete a fitness consultation form and sign a medical disclaimer before starting any exercise.

It is your responsibility and liability to bring to our attention any medical condition or changes to a medical condition which may present a health risk when using any of the facilities or engaging in any activities at the Herb House.

If you are taking medication, have just had an operation or have a medical condition, we strongly advise you to consult with your doctor before having any treatments or using the facilities.

Please let us know if anything changes in your health once you have completed either your treatment or fitness consultation form.

We would advise you do not do any strenuous physical activities if you do not think you are medically fit enough.

If you have any reservations as to your physical condition, we advise you have a medical check-up before doing any exercise.

Fitness Services and Cancellation Policy

Gym Induction

Before you exercise in the studio or gym, you will need to complete a complimentary gym induction with one of our fitness team.

This is a 30-minute long session, where one of our personal trainers will go through how to effectively use each piece of equipment in the gym. We would recommend you wear fitness attire to this appointment so that you can try out the machines. The session will also include how to use the MyWellness app and the Technogym hub to book classes and how to view your profile.

Herb House Ultimate Fitness MOT at the Herb House

As a Full Works member, you are entitled to a complimentary Herb House Ultimate Fitness MOT session. We recommend you book this after your gym induction. A credit has been applied to your account which is valid for 12 months from the start of your membership.

What is it?

The Body MOT is an in-depth, general health and fitness check carried out by a Personal Trainer who can support you with advice and guidance. Your MOT will identify opportunities to improve your overall health and wellbeing by giving you the personalised advice you need to become healthier and fitter.


Herb House Ultimate Fitness MOT includes:

  • BMI (Body Mass index)
  • Body Composition (Body Fat)
  • Resting heart rate
  • Waist to hip ratio
  • Blood Pressure
  • Peak Flow
  • Grip Strength
  • Aerobic fitness assessment (your cardiovascular fitness)
  • Current eating habits
  • Functional Movement Screening (Posture and Flexibility)

Following the Body MOT, your Personal Trainer will explain the results to you and offer some simple advice based on the current healthy living guidelines. You will also be given a full report to take away with you. We will then use the results to track your progress against a bespoke set of fitness and lifestyle goals.

Preparation for your MOT

To optimise the accuracy of the results we would advise that you arrive in a fasted state (nothing to eat or drink for at least 3-5 hours beforehand, preferably overnight and no caffeine or alcohol consumption in the past 24 hours). Please come dressed in loose-fitting clothes and trainers or gymnasium attire. For us to be able to complete some of the assessments we will ask you to remove your shoes and socks and we also need to take certain body measurements such as waist circumference. Please inform a member of staff if you would prefer not to have these measurements taken or would prefer a chaperone to be present during the assessment. The data we collect will be kept confidential and will be stored in accordance with current data protection laws.

What happens after the MOT?

We recommend you attend an MOT every 6 months to a year to track your progress. It also helps you to monitor the effectiveness of your exercise regime and reassess your health and lifestyle goals.

Personal Training

As part of your Full Works membership, you are entitled to 4 x Monthly complimentary 1-2-1 training/movement sessions, with our fitness team and specialists, including Yoga, Pilates, Mobility and Rehabilitation work.  These training sessions must be booked and taken within each calendar month on a use it or lose it basis. The personal training sessions cannot be transferred to another calendar month, are non-transferrable to other members and will expire with the expiry of the membership.

On starting your membership, we will book you in with one of our personal trainers to start your monthly personal training programme.

We have a variety of PTs within our team with varying expertise and you are welcome to select one to work with or if you prefer you can work with more than one. Click here to read more about our team.

For additional personal training sessions, we offer blocks of personal training sessions. The Herb House offers a wide range of Personal Training options. Visit our Personal Training page to find out more about rates.

Personal Training sessions can be booked via the fitness team or at reception.

We operate a 24-hour cancellation policy for all Personal Training bookings. Cancellation with less than 24 hours via telephone or written notice via email will incur a full 100% charge or will count towards your monthly allocation. For any other greater notice periods a full refund will be given within one (1) week of notification.

Bespoke Training Programme

After you’ve had your Body MOT, we would recommend you book in for your complimentary 60-minute Bespoke training programme.

This is an hour-long session where one of our personal trainers will discuss goals and lifestyles, in order to design a training programme for you to follow yourself in the gym. A credit has been applied to your account which is valid for 6 months from the start of your membership.

Training Assessment 

After you have worked out for a few months, or if you would like a new programme designed for you at any stage, we would recommend you book in for a training assessment.

This is an hour-long session where one of our personal trainers will assess your progress and design a new training programme for you to follow yourself in the gym.

MyWellness App

You will be able to make bookings on the MyWellness app for the classes and the Lap Pool.

Becoming healthier and more active is now easier than ever. MyWellness enables you to access your lifestyle and fitness data, manage your training programmes, book your fitness classes and much more whilst being on the go.

You will also be able to connect MyWellness with popular fitness and nutritional tracking apps and devices like Polar, Garmin, Apple Health, RunKeeper, Strava, Mapmyfitness and many more.

All fitness classes at Herb House can be booked using the MyWellness app for classes. As a Full Works member, you will be able to book classes 8 days in advance of your chosen day. Please see the Classes section below for more information.

You will also be able to connect to the Technogym equipment in the gym to record and manage your workouts and results. For support with this, please just ask one of the fitness team when you are next in the gym.

On joining, you will receive an email invitation to join MyWellness. You will need to accept this invitation before you can set up your profile and start booking classes via the MyWellness app. Please let one of the membership team know if you do not receive this email.

Classes Timetable and Booking Procedure

Classes run daily and are included in the cost of your membership.

Class sizes are currently limited to 8-10 people in the Studio and Hideout depending on the style of the class. Please refer to the current timetable on MyWellness for more information on the classes you can book and the capacities in each one.

Classes are available for members, hotel guests and guests on day Spa packages or on member guest passes only (on the day subject to availability). We do not accept outside guests.

Please note some classes on the timetable are members-only classes, which are exclusive to members. These classes are not open to Spa days or hotel guests or guests of members unless spaces remain at the last minute.

Our fitness classes can be booked, changed and cancelled on our MyWellness Fitness App, which can be downloaded onto your phone or tablet. Please click the link in the section above for more information.

You can also book, change and cancel classes in person or over the phone with our reception team. We regret that we cannot take bookings for classes over email.

Water-based classes will take place at designated times in the Lap Pool, at which point the Lap Pool will be unavailable for swimming.

The Herb House publishes its fitness class’s timetable but this may be changed at the discretion of the management. Members will be notified in advance where possible by email.

Little Nippers Swim

Your child/children/grandchildren under 18 years old are welcome to use the Lap Pool (only) during swimming hours at no extra charge as part of your membership.

If you would like to bring your under 18s for a swim you will need to complete this section of your intake form or please email

We ask that parents ensure all children under the age of 3 years old are wearing neoprene nappies in and around the Lap Pool area in addition to a regular swim nappy. Neoprene nappies are an added precaution and help protect from germs. If you have forgotten or misplaced your reusable neoprene nappy, they are available from Spa reception to purchase at the cost of £9 inc VAT.

Please note that Herb House does not provide lifeguard facilities at the pool area.

Little Nipper Swim Bookings

Little Nippers swim times must be booked in advance on the MyWellness app.

The maximum family group size is limited for up to 4 people, with a minimum of one adult per group in the pool at all times.

For teenage swimming, each booking is for a maximum of 2 people.  Teenagers are welcome to swim on their own in the pool, provided that the parent/guardian supervised them throughout from the poolside. If you would like to swim with your two teenage children, you will need to book two slots.

Guest Passes

How many do I receive?

For each complete year, your membership entitles you to 3 complimentary guest passes in a 12-month period.

On joining, you will receive a pro-rate allocation of guest passes until the end of the calendar year. These will be electronically added to your membership profile.

Your annual complimentary guest passes will be added to your account at the beginning of January.  

All guest passes have a 12-month expiry from date of issue.

How can a guest pass be used?

Each member can book a maximum of three guests into the spa for the day from 10am until close, subject to availability. 

Your guest is welcome to use all aspects of the spa during their visit, except fitness classes, which are subject to restrictions – see below for more information.

Are there any restrictions on guest passes?

Guest passes are for adult use only. We regret that children under the age of 18 are not permitted to come into the Herb House on a guest pass. Please see our Little Nippers Policy for more information on what we have available for under 18s.

Your guest must be accompanied by you throughout the visit and we will need to check them into the Spa on arrival.

Due to current restrictions, members can only bring a maximum of three guests with them into the spa, subject to availability.

Guests to the Spa must be booked in advance subject to availability.

How do I book a guest in to use a complimentary guest pass?

If you’d like to bring a guest in for the day, we require an advanced warning in writing. Please contact our reservations or reception team at or to advise what date you would like to bring your guest into the Spa and to advise the name(s) of your guest(s). We manage our numbers in the Spa carefully, so all guests will be subject to availability and allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Once we have received your request, we will contact you to confirm the visit for you. Please advise if you would like to book any treatments for your guest.

What can I book for my guest?

The use of the Pools with your guest can be booked up to 7 days in advance, however, to give our members more opportunity, classes for your guest can only be booked on the day if there is space.

We would be delighted to book you in for lunch with your guest in Raw & Cured or to book treatments for you both, subject to availability.

What do I need to do on the day of the guest visit?

Please make sure you come to reception on arrival with your guest to check them into the Spa. Your guest will be asked to fill in a consultation form before using the facilities.

You will need to accompany your guest at all times and you will be responsible for their behaviour and must ensure that they abide by the Herb House regulations and etiquette at all times.

The Herb House membership reserves the right to refuse guest admissions and admission to guests who have previously had their membership terminated or refused.

What do I do if I want to cancel a guest visit and what is your cancellation policy?

If you’ve booked a guest into the Spa but decide you’d like to cancel or reschedule the visit, please drop our reservations team a line and they will organise this for you. All complimentary guest passes have a 24-hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours in advance of your visit, the complimentary guest pass will not be redeemed.  However, if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance of your visit, the pass will be redeemed from your account, even if you do not attend.

When are my guest passes valid?

Annual passes expire 12 months after their issue date. All guest passes must be used whilst you are still a member at the Herb House and whilst they are valid. All guest passes expire when your membership comes to an end.

Can I buy any more passes & how do I purchase additional passes?

Additional full-day guest passes can be purchased for the members’ preferential rate of £75 per pass. Alternatively, we also have an evening members' guest pass option available for £45 per person, which gives your guests access to the spa from 4pm until the spa closes. There are no restrictions on the number of guest passes you can buy each year.

If you would like to bring in a guest and purchase the guest pass (rather than use one of your complimentary passes), we will firstly check availability for you at the time of booking and subject to availability, we will secure your booking on your chosen date. Payment will be taken at the time of booking for your guest pass(es) to secure your booking.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for purchased guest passes.  If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours in advance of your visit, a refund will be made or you can opt to move your booking to another date within 12 months of the date of purchase. If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance of your visit, no refund will apply.

Can I bring guests into the Spa without using a guest pass?

You are welcome to bring guests into Raw & Cured for lunch or drinks without a guest pass but they will not be able to use other facilities in the Spa. Please do book your table in Raw & Cured in advance with our reservations team to avoid disappointment. Please sign them in at reception on arrival and out on departure.

If I have a joint membership, can I use my partners’ passes?

Yes, you are welcome to use your partner’s allocation of guest passes. Please advise us at the time of booking if you’d like to use one of your partner’s passes.

How can I find out how many guest passes I have remaining?

Our membership and reception team can advise you how many guest passes you have remaining by checking your membership profile. Please ask at the reception desk or email if you’d like an update.


Recommend a Friend

If you recommend a friend to join the Herb House as a member, you will receive a £75 credit, which you can put towards any 90+ minute treatment or our 120-minute Ultimate Body MOT or towards a block of Personal Training sessions.  Alternatively, if you prefer you can use it to purchase a guest pass. This £75 credit would be valid for 12 months from date of issue and must be used for one order.
